No amount of alcohol consumption is healthy, according to a new study that also challenges prior assumptions about the world's heaviest drinkers.
Data compiled by the University of Washington's Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation aims to provide a more accurate depiction of global alcohol consumption than prior estimates conducted by institutions like the World Health Organization. The study also exposes in greater detail the dangerous effects that heavy drinking can have on international rates of disease, disabilities and even death.
