China on Friday threatened the U.S. with unspecified "countermeasures" if it follows through with a planned sale of F-16s fighter jets to Taiwan – the first of what will likely be many repercussions for the Trump administration's military support for a country Beijing considers a renegade province.

News of the planned sale emerged early Friday after the State Department informed Congress Thursday evening of the administration's intent to sell 66 of the Fighting Falcon jets to Taiwan. Do animals get embarrassed?

It’s hard to imagine that a pug dressed up as a hot dog doesn’t feel embarrassed, especially if it’s displaying expressions that we normally associate with that emotion, such as looking away. But perhaps the dog is just uncomfortable in the costume, or even scared.
