A Toilet That Vaporizes Your Poo

There are 2.5 billion people around the world who don’t have access to safe, affordable sanitation systems. That means every time they go to the bathroom they have to put themselves in an unhealthy or dangerous situation.

It’s a problem that the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation believes can be solved by innovative technologies. And through their Reinvent The Toilet Challenge, they’ve recruited scientists and engineers from around the world to make new types of toilets and public sanitation systems for places that can’t afford modern upgrades. One of the companies they’ve funded, New Zealand-based Scion Research (a government-owned company), is developing a new type of toilet that used pressure and microwave technology to treat sewage right in people’s homes.

Microsoft's rumored Fortnite Xbox One appears to be real... and it wouldn't just be a basic software bundle. WinFuture claims to have obtained images and details of the system, and the Xbox One S variant would come in a very, very conspicuous "Gradient Purple" shade with a similarly-shaded gamepad -- there would be no mistaking that you bought a limited edition. Buyers would also get a ready-to-play copy of Fortnite itself, a month of Xbox Live Gold, 2,000 V-Bucks and an exclusive Dark Vertex skin to be the coolest kid on their block.

The system itself would be a standard disc-based version of the Xbox One S with 1TB of storage.

Kindel left Amazon last year and took a top role at Control4, a company that’s developing software and hardware to control the connected home. For his new gig, he brought along the Amazon press release tactic and other strategies.

Chrissy Teigen makes her living being an authentic person. After initially coming into the public eye as a model and then marrying singer John Legend, she is now arguably one of the most famous people on the internet. She has amassed more than 30 million followers on her social media platforms, has two bestselling cookbooks and her own line of cookware at Target, hosts her own television show... the list goes on. And let's not forget her adorable children, the sweet little icing on all that cake.

But life isn't perfect. Teigen admits she found postpartum depression "embarrassing" when she realized she was struggling with the condition after her daughter was born, and it brings up an excellent point about how a person's public persona can affect the way they feel about themselves.

When it comes to paying women equally to men for their work, most industries still have a long way to go. We know that progress has been slow since the Equal Pay Act was passed in 1963 across sectors and that for women of color, the gap in pay compared to white men is even larger than that of white women’s.

As we mark Equal Pay Day on April 2 this year, many are looking to the Paycheck Fairness Act (which bars employers from asking for previous salary information) to help shrink the gender wage gap. But the data is not particularly encouraging. While women are being hired in greater numbers for historically male-dominated professions — such as financial managers and surgeons — women across those industries aren’t reaching the high earning power of their male peers.

Social media has taken root in people’s lives and although it can be a potential market for good, services and career development, when wrongly used, the same platforms can ruin your career dreams.
Lotte Bosco Bogere, a procurement officer, says most people think what they post on social media is their business but he advises that it is good to use social media platforms for more productive things.

“Sometimes an interviewing panel can peruse your social media platform during an interview and the content they find there might ruin your chances of attaining the job,” says Bogere.

The federal government would save money if a bipartisan bill to give marijuana businesses access to banks is approved, according to a report released by the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) on Friday.

The legislation, which cleared the House Financial Services Committee in a bipartisan vote of 45 to 15 in March, would change federal law to protect financial institutions that service the cannabis industry from being penalized by regulators. That reform would set off a chain of events, beginning with a likely increase in the number of banks accepting deposits from those businesses, CBO reasoned.
