Researchers are dispelling the long-held belief that early, tool-bearing humans caused the extinction of the giant mammals in Africa over the last several million years and are arguing that it was a long-term change to their environment.
According to a study published Thursday in the journal Science, the expansion of grasslands likely led to falling atmospheric carbon dioxide levels, which contributed to the animals' demise.

As part of its effort to keep up with Facebook, its main competitor in the Indian market, Google will expand its social platform Neighbourly to more Indian cities, the company announced on Wednesday.
Neighbourly, a social network with a local focus, was launched in May in Mumbai with the purpose of providing users "a human, helpful and local way to ask and answer neighborhood questions," the company said in a statement.

A passenger is suing British Airways seeking £10,000 (about $12,825 USD) in damages because he became injured after being seated next to an “extremely large” man on a 2016 flight from Bangkok to London Heathrow.
The man, 51-year-old Stephen Prosser, says that sitting next to the “huge man” on the 12-hour flight caused him to suffer personal injury and loss of earnings.

According to AdAge, the video platform began releasing the movies in October with a “Free to watch” category in its movie section, where users have traditionally purchased or rented movies. The films come with commercial interruptions, with pop-up ads that appear at regular intervals.
